We have been working in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania for some months now. Our registration teams have met with some incredible people and the feedback on Ubia Soko has been extraordinary.
One of our partners, Resolution Insurance, visited the team last week to observe first hand how we are progressing. The team met at Diclukala’s offices in Ifakara another of our partners who provides commodity trading and rice processing services to farmers. The Resolution team were very encouraged with progress – in the space of 48 hours last week, over 500 farmers had signed up for the Ubia Soko services and importantly over half of these had opted in for health insurance.
These are impressive results and go to show there is huge opportunity to close the digital divide with AGRIinsight’s appropriate technologies whilst delivering much needed services to the remotest of rural communities.
AGRIinsight believes that to improve daily livelihoods we need to work with the entire ecosystem building relevant partnerships that combine our technology with best in class service delivery down to village communities.
